Five golden rings!
Fünf goldene Ringe!
We had baked pineapple (golden rings) with ice cream for dessert.
Zum Nachtisch gab es gebackene Ananas mit Eis. Die Ananas sieht aus wie goldene Ringe.
And then we explored a new town.
Und dann haben wir einen Ausflug in eine unbekannte Gegend gemacht.

This is the Clara Barton House, but it was closed. Clara Barton established the first American Red Cross right here.
Das ist das Clara Barton Haus, aber es war geschlossen. Clara Barton hat hier das erste amerikanische Rote Kreuz eröffnet.

Für den sechsten Weihnachtstag und die "Gänse, die Eier legen" haben wir den Film Amy und die Wildgänse gesehen.
Lustig, was ist das für ein Gebäude mit dem Namen "Kramers"? Hast du beim Fotografieren an mich gedacht? ;)

DeleteA lovely sixth day/fifth day of Christmas, Eva. The town of Bisbee (Dansville?) is very quaint and I love the yarn store :) What did the white strawberries taste like? Flora's necklace is pretty and I remember when the movie Fly Away Home came out in the 90's. Happy Twelve Days of Christmas! xoxo
ReplyDeleteBisbee is on the way to Dansville and Dansville is having a comeback. They got some money to renovate downtown. The store was wonderful! We did not buy the strawberries because they were way too expensive, but maybe one day we will try them. So you know the movie! I had never heard of it. It was quite funny and touching. Happy Twelve Days of Christmas to you also.

ReplyDeleteWe melted some butter and added cardamom and brown sugar. We brushed the rings with that and baked them for about 20 minutes.
