Stations of the Cross/Kreuzwegandacht

We went to this church for the Stations of the Cross.  It is close to the area where the students live.  We used to come here often when we lived in this area.

Wir waren in dieser Kirche zur Kreuzwegsandacht.  Diese Kirche ist in der Nähe der Studenten.  Als wir früher in dieser Gegend gewohnt haben, waren wir hier oft in der Kirche.

After church, we stopped at one of our favorite green grocer's.

Nach der Kirche waren wir bei diesem Gemüsehändler, den wir gern mögen.

Wallace Collection etc.

Veronika wanted to go to the Wallace Collection on Thursday after Flora's violin class.  I did not take many pictures because this blog already has tons of pictures from the Wallace Collection.

Veronika wollte wieder zur Wallace Kunstsammlung, nachdem Flora mit ihrer Geigenstunde fertig war.  Ich habe nicht viele Fotos gemacht, weil ich auf diesem Blog schon sehr viele Fotos dieser Kunstsammlung habe.

Spring Flowers/Frühlingsblumen

Veronika found the first pussy willows today when she walked home from her Hebrew class.  

Veronika hat die ersten Weidenkätzchen auf dem Rückweg von ihrem Hebräischkurs gefunden.

And when Flora came walking home from her art class, she was carrying the first coltsfoot.

Und als Flora von ihrer Kunstklasse zurückkam, trug sie den ersten Huflattich.

We had a plumber here for many hours.  He was trying to fix the upstairs bathtub drain pipe, but it is still leaking.  Now he has to come back.  It caused a horrible mess in the "basement": The drain is right above the washer/dryer and they were covered with rusty, muddy water.  It took me a while to get them clean again.  

Heute war der Klempner hier.  Er hat viele Stunden lang versucht, den Abfluß der Badewanne oben zu reparieren, aber es hat nicht geklappt.  Jetzt muß er nochmals wiederkommen.  Leider ist dieser Abfluß genau über dem Trockner und der Waschmaschine (im "Keller") und beide waren mit rostigem, schmutzigen Flecken bedeckt, als der Klempner fertig war.  Ich habe ziemlich lange gebraucht, um das alles wieder sauber zu bekommen.  

In the afternoon, we had soup at church, followed by Stations of the Cross and Mass.  We prayed for my Aunt Erika during Mass.  Miriam will have a Mass read for her tomorrow.

Heute nachmittag gab es Suppe in der Kirche und danach Kreuzwegandacht und eine Messe.  Wir haben für meine Tante Erika während der Messe gebetet.  Miriam läßt morgen eine Messe beim ihrem College für Erika lesen.

Tonight, Veronika and I continued watching another episode from the series "Wild Goose."  It is part of her confirmation preparation as required by the diocese.  

Heute abend haben Veronika und ich eine weitere Episode der Sendung "Wildgans" gesehen.  Das muß sie zur Firmvorbereitung gucken (von der Diözese vorgeschrieben).  

Yard Work, Stations of the Cross, Handwork/Gartenarbeit, Kreuzwegstationen, Handarbeit

We did our first yard work today.

Heute haben wir zum ersten Mal im Garten gearbeitet.

The flower bed looks much better.

In the afternoon, we drove to the next town and bought some bread.  Here Flora is walking with the loaves.

Am Spätnachmittag haben wir dann im Nachbarort Brot gekauft, das Flora hier trägt.

We also went to church to pray the Stations of the Cross with other people from our parish.

Dann haben wir an einer Kreuzwegandacht teilgenommen.

Coming home, we saw flying geese.

Zu Hause haben wir fliegende Gänse gesehen.

Stations of the Cross/Kreuzwegstationen

Praying the Stations of the Cross in a local catholic church because it is a Friday in Lent.  There was also adoration afterwards.

Wir beten die Kreuzwegstationen in einer Kirche in der Gegend, weil ja heute Freitag in der Fastenzeit ist.  Anschließend gab es Eucharistische Anbetung.  

Picnic with Dolls/Picknick mit den Puppen

It was quite mild today (and no rain!) and so the girls decided to have a picnic with their dolls.
Es war heute recht mild und so haben die Mädchen ein Picknick mit den Puppen abgehalten.  

In the morning, there was gymnastics for the three of them.  Then we cleaned and baked..
Morgens hatten alle drei Geräte-und Bodenturnen.  Danach haben wir geputzt und gebacken.

Jonathan and Charlotte went to confession and we all prayed the Stations of the Cross in the evening.  I like to use Stations of the Cross for Children and Stations of the Cross from Father Lovasik.

Jonathan und Charlotte waren bei der Beichte und wir alle haben die Kreuzwegstationen gebetet.

Tomorrow we will have one our less: Daylight Savings Time is coming.

Heute nacht stellen wir hier schon die Uhren um: Die Sommerzeit beginnt.
