Fireworks in Concord, NH/Feuerwerk in Concord in New Hampshire

Miriam sent these pictures of the fireworks in Concord, NH.  She is visiting with her Magdalen College friends.  They had a big picnic at one of her former professor's house and then they saw fireworks.

Miriam hat diese Bilder vom Feuerwerk (Unabhängigkeitstag) aus Concord in New Hampshire geschickt.  Sie hat viele ihrer ehemaligen Kommilitonen von Magdalen College gesehen, die sich auf einer Party bei einem ehemaligen Professor getroffen haben.  Abends gab es dann Feuerwerk in Concord.

She is on the bus from Boston to Concord now.  It looks like she will arrive on time.  Miriam will pick her up by car.

Im Moment fährt sie mit dem Bus von Boston nach Concord und wird wohl pünktlich ankommen.  Miriam wird sie da per Auto abholen.

Miriam and some other students participated in the New Hampshire March for Life over the weekend.

New Hampshire

Beautiful New Hampshire (That reminds me, a former student of mine shared his voice recital via Zoom with me last week and he is from NH.)

Schönes New Hampshire (Ein ehemaliger Student von mir hat mir letzte Woche ein Zoom Link geschickt, damit ich sein Gesangabschlußkonzert hören konnte.  Er stammt aus New Hampshire.)

Miriam came back from her New Hampshire weekend early on Monday.  Her flight landed around 7:00 a.m. at Heathrow.  She spent a weekend at a college scholarship event.  She had a good time, but is quite tired.

Miriam ist am Montagmorgen aus New Hampshire zurückgekommen.  Ihr Flug war um 7.00 Uhr bei Heathrow.  Sie war zu einem College Wochenende eingeladen, wo Auswahl-gespräche für Stipendien stattgefunden haben.  Es war ein schönes Wochenende, doch jetzt ist sie sehr müde.

The airport in Boston is right at the ocean.  I guess a pilot needs to be quite exact about where to land.
