The Secret Life of Walter Mitty/Walter Mittys Geheimleben

Veronika and I read The Secret Life of Walter Mitty last school year and today we watched the 1947 movie, which you can find on YouTube here.  It was quite different from the short story, but still funny.  

Veronika und ich haben letztes Schuljahr die Kurzgeschichte Walter Mittys Geheimleben gelesen und heute den Film von 1947 gesehen.  Er war ziemlich anders, aber dennoch sehr lustig.  

These asters were blooming on top of the hill, where Flora's violin teacher lives.
Diese Astern blühen auf dem Hügel, auf dem Floras Geigenlehrerin wohnt.

    Wunderschöne Astern sind das, lila ist eine meiner Lieblingsfarben im Garten, eigentlich DIE Lieblingsfarbe

      Das ist auch die Lieblingsfarbe meines Vaters und von Miriam. Diese wilden Astern haben ein sehr intensives Lila und ich freue mich auch immer dran.

    The youtube movie is very clear! I think I'd like to watch it. I brought the short story up online.

      Read the story first to get a feel for what Thurber was trying to do. The movie was good quality. There is a modern movie version of the story, but we have not watched it.
