Progress/Fortschritt

Veronika finished her cloud mobile.  It is quite impressive, but hard to photograph.  She has clouds of all kinds: cirrus, cumulus, stratonimbus, etc.  

Veronika hat ihr Mobile ganz fertig bekommen.  Es ist ziemlich beeindruckend, aber man kann es nicht gut fotografieren.  Sie hat alle möglichen Wolkentypen gebastelt: Cirrus, Cumulus, Cumulunimbus usw.

We are playing Advent and Christmas songs on the recorder.

Wir spielen Advents- und Weihnachtslieder auf der Blockflöte.

We had a normal morning with Hebrew, Cooper, and our main lessons, and math.  Then I went to campus to teach German.  I only had half of my students today because the other half is on a choir tour this weekend.  Flora was supposed to have violin on Zoom because the driveway of her teacher (she lives out in the country on a dirt road on a hill) was completely iced over and it would have been impossible to get up there.  Somehow the Zoom call did not work and after playing around for 20 minutes with different possibilities they had to do the lesson over the phone with no video.  It somehow worked out (I was still on campus when this was going on and Veronika had to help Flora).  Then there was a run-through of the Nutcracker in the afternoon.  Miriam wanted to have a Spekulatius recipe from me and I also typed that up.  Tomorrow is another rehearsal and next week are three shows!  We booked a flight for Miriam, who will come home next weekend.  She is the first to be done with her semester. 

Wir haben einen ganz normalen Morgen mit Hebräisch, Cooper, Hauptepochen und Mathe gehabt.  Dann mußte ich Deutsch unterrichten.  Ich hatte heute nur die Hälfte des Kurses da, weil die andere Hälfte im Chor singt und heute ein Konzert in Painted Post gegeben hat.  Flora sollte Geige per Zoom haben, weil die Straße zur Wohnung ihrer Lehrerin total vereist ist und man nicht den Berg raufkommen konnte.  Doch irgendwie funktionierte Zoom nicht und Veronika, Flora und Frau T. haben fast 20 Minuten versucht, eine Videoverbindung zu bekommen, leider aber ohne Erfolg (ich war ja zu der Zeit noch auf dem Campus).  Also haben sie den Unterricht per Telefon gemacht (ohne Video), was irgendwie geklappt hat.  Danach war eine vollständige Nußknackerprobe.  Morgen gibt es wieder eine und nächste Woche sind dann drei Aufführungen!  Für Miriam haben wir schon einen Flug gebucht, die am Wochenende nach Hause kommt, weil sie zuerst mit ihrem Semester zu Ende ist.
