Goldenrod/Goldrute

Hard to believe, but the first goldenrods are blooming!

Kaum zu glauben, aber die ersten Goldruten blühen schon!

I took these pictures at Flora's violin teacher's house this afternoon.  This morning, we finally caught the mouse that was trying to share our kitchen and living-room with us.  Maybe the mouse thought that since the goldenrod is blooming, fall will not be far off and she needed a warm place for the winter!  She has to look for that at the local fire hall (we always take our mice there) now.

Diese Fotos habe ich bei dem Haus von Floras Geigenlehrerin gemacht.  Heute morgen haben wir endlich die Maus gefangen, die versucht hatte, unsere Küche und unser Wohnzimmer mit uns zu teilen.  Vielleicht hat sie gedacht, wenn die Goldrute blüht, dann ist der Herbst nicht mehr weit, und dann braucht man einen guten Platz für den Winter.  Den muß sie sich aber jetzt bei der Feuerwache suchen (wir bringen unsere Mäuse immer dahin).

I spent an hour with home depot on the phone, trying to schedule a new appointment for the installation of the dishwasher.  It was very complicated, too complicated to explain here in detail, but supposedly they will be coming back early August.  Hopefully, the dishwasher can be installed then, without any new problems arising.  

Ich habe ein Stunde heute morgen telefoniert, damit wir wieder einen Termin für die Spülmaschinenleute bekommen: Jetzt kommen sie im August und hoffentlich kann man die Spülmaschine dann anschließen.
