Meringues and Saints/Baisers und Heilige

We had another quite normal day today.  Veronika worked her custodial job, but Miriam had a day off.  Charlotte and Miriam went for a walk and did some baking.  Flora worked on some math and some spelling in the morning and went for a walk with Charlotte.  Peter had a book club in the café on campus this afternoon.  People from the community get together and discuss books they have been reading.  I am making good progress with my next school year planning.  Veronika will be old enough to take college classes now.  She has decided to give Biblical Hebrew a try in the fall.  We also signed her up for a French class with Homeschool Connections.  

Heute war ein ganz normaler Tag.  Veronika hat beim College geputzt, aber Miriam hatte heute frei.  Sie ist mit Charlotte spazieren gegangen und die beiden haben auch gebacken.  Flora hat ein bißchen Mathe und Rechtschreibung geübt und war auch mit Charlotte spazieren.  Peter hat einen Buchclub im Café beim College geleitet.  Interessierte aus dem Ort können sich dort einmal die Woche treffen und sich über Bücher austauschen.  Ich mache gute Fortschritte bei der Planung des neuen Schuljahres.  Veronika ist jetzt alt genug, auch beim College Kurse zu machen.  Sie hat sich zu einem Kurs in Althebräisch entschlossen.  Dazu macht sie dann auch noch einen online Kurs bei einer Organisation für Homeschoolers in Französisch.

Among the many books I have checked out from the library to help me with my planning, I got one about saints.  It is very pretty and has saints you normally don't hear so much about.  See a longer description here.

Unter den vielen Büchern, die ich bei der Bücherei ausgeliehen habe und die mir bei der Schuljahrsplanung helfen, habe ich ein besonders schönes Heiligenbuch gefunden.  

P.S. Charlotte did find her drivers' license!  😀  Charlotte hat ihren Führerschein gefunden!
