Art and Jasper/Kunst und Jasper

Early this morning, I drove Flora to her art class.  The classes are being held in an old hotel that is now an art center.

Heute morgen habe ich Flora wieder zu ihrer Kunstklasse gefahren.  Die Klassen finden in einem ehemaligen Hotel statt, das jetzt ein Kunstzentrum ist.  

Flora made a wreath for our door.

Flora hat einen Türkranz gebastelt.

She has also redecorated her room!  This was her own idea, not part of the art class.

Sie hat auch ihr Zimmer neu dekoriert.  Dieser Schmuck war ihre eigene Idee und stammt nicht aus dem Kunstkurs.

At 12:30 p.m., my student dropped off Jasper.  He is such a quiet dog!  You hardly know he is there.

Pünktlich um halb eins war dann Jasper hier.  Er ist so ruhig, daß man kaum merkt, daß er da ist.

Charlotte has been such a wonderful help: She picked up Flora from her art class and took care of Jasper while Flora had her violin lesson.  And tonight, she drove the other two girls over to the school in the next village.  Miriam and Veronika attended a local production of "The Wizard of Oz."  She also baked banana bread.  Miriam and Veronika had to take apart bunk beds today.  They came back feeling quite tired and were happy to have the play to go to tonight.

Charlotte ist so super hilfreich!  Erst hat sie Flora von ihrer Kunstklasse abgeholt und sich dann um Jasper gekümmert, weil Flora Geigenstunde hatte.  Heute abend hat sie Miriam und Veronika in den Nachbarort gefahren, wo ein Theaterstück stattfand ("Der Zauberer von Oz"), das sie sehen wollten.  Wir kennen viele der Mitwirkenden.  Und dann hat sie auch noch ein Bananenbrot gebacken.  Veronika und Miriam mußten heute Etagenbetten auseinanderbauen, eine Arbeit, die wohl sehr anstrengend war.  Da war das Theaterstück heute abend eine nette Abwechselung.
