We had a very busy day today.  I made my fruit salad and dropped it off at church.  At the same time, I dropped of Miriam and while she was rehearsing for the confirmation, Flora and I went to the post office and the grocery store.  When we came back, Miriam was done.  They had rehearsed and also all the young people had gone to confession before the big day tomorrow.  It was hard to find a parking spot because the guests for the funeral Mass had already begun arriving (I think they were expecting 200) and the public school across from the church was having a craft fair.  Back home, I put together a soup from leftovers for lunch.  Then we all spent the rest of the day cleaning and raking leaves.  The snow has finally melted and quite a few people were out today raking leaves.  While I am typing this, Miriam and Veronika are baking muffins for tomorrow.  Flora is already in bed.  Peter is on his way back from Boston and Jonathan is visiting Charlotte watching Giselle which the dance department is putting on.  He will then come home to be here for Miriam's confirmation.

Heute war wieder viel los.  Ich habe meinen Obstsalat für die Beerdigung bei der Kirche gemacht.  Miriam ist auch gleich ausgestiegen, um für die Firmung zu üben.  Flora und ich waren dann bei der Post und im Lebensmittelladen.  Anschließend haben wir Miriam wieder abgeholt.  Die jungen Leute haben nicht nur geübt, sondern sind auch alle zur Beichte gegangen, damit sie wirklich würdig sind, das neue Sakrament morgen zu empfangen.  Es war sehr schwierig einen Parkplatz zu finden, weil die ersten Gäste für die Beerdigung schon eingetroffen waren (über 200 wurden erwartet) und gegenüber der Kirche in der öffentlichen Schule ein Handwerksmarkt stattfand.  Zu Hause habe ich aus Resten schnell eine Suppe gemacht.  Danach haben wir dann geputzt und Blätter geharkt.  Der Schnee ist endlich getaut und so haben heute viele Leute Blätter geharkt.  Während ich hier tippe, backen Miriam und Veronika fürs Frühstück morgen.  Flora ist schon im Bett.  Peter kommt heute aus Boston zurück.  Jonathan besucht Charlotte, um dort Giselle zu sehen.  Dann fährt er zu uns nach Hause, um morgen bei der Firmung zu sein.
