I am sitting here, writing up an exam for my students for Wednesday. The girls were very busy with their studies today. Yesterday, Veronika baked these neat looking pear tarts.
Ich sitze hier und entwerfe eine Klausur für meine Studenten am Mittwoch. Die Mädchen haben auch fleißig gearbeitet. Gestern hat Veronika diese leckeren Birnentörtchen gebacken.
Finally managing to catch up with you. I tried leaving comments via my phone last week but it was not playing ball. I'm glad to read that your foot is much improved, thankfully nothing broken. The girls halloween costumes and pumpkins were fab and I'll have to show Pip some of Veronika's experiments - Physics is Pip's favourite science subject 😊. I've managed to post a blog update as there has been a lot going on at this end, all good though Praise God! Sending love and hugs to you all xx
ReplyDeleteI was wondering how you were doing. Dorina had some problems with comments. I have turned them off and on and hope that they will be working now. I think Veronika is not so thrilled about physics, but it needs to get done. I am glad you are all well.
DeleteP.S. The foot looks much better, just the left side is still a bit swollen and painful. I did not get an x-ray, so I hope it was not broken. It is so hard to get an x-ray here and the treatment for a broken toe is not different from a badly sprained one; so I thought, why bother?

ReplyDeleteI don't know! I have to ask her tomorrow morning. No, no cornmeal; we have none in the house. Yes, they are busy. I finished the exam, but Peter's colleague had to proctor it because I had to go and see the dentist!

ReplyDeleteNo, it's not. I am on antibiotics and high dose of Ibuprofen and will probably have a root canal treatment next Friday. The foot was doing better, but yesterday it hurt much more. I walked more on it when going to the dentist, so I assume that is the reason.

ReplyDeleteThanks so much. It is the tooth they did a filling for in London. Apparently, the filling is too deep and is pressing on the nerve, which has not been able to recover. The only way to fix that is a root canal.
DeleteI got one root canal, but I am still in pain. I might need another one for the tooth next to it.
