We had to mow our lawn again.
Der Rasen mußte wieder gemäht werden.
This is our dead magnolia. The snow killed it. However, there are just a handful of blossoms at the bottom that survived.
Hier ist unsere tote Magnolie, die der Schnee zerstört hat. Nur ein paar Blüten ganz unten haben überlebt.

Mensch jetzt sieht man wie ärgerlich das mit der Magnolie ist. Also wirklich blöde. Dafür sehen aber die Apfelblüten und Tulpen ganz besonders schön aus! Und die Frühlingsfee auch. Judasbäume werden hier auch immer öfter in die Hausgärten gepflanzt, früher kannte man sie hier gar nicht. Die sehen sehr hübsch aus!
ReplyDeleteJa, sehr traurig, so braun! Die Frühlingsfee ist ein schöner Anblick, finde ich auch! Diese Judasbäume kenne ich eher aus dem Mittleren Westen, hier sind sie nicht so häufig. Ich finde sie auch sehr schön.
DeleteMeine Mutter lässt gerade einen Teil ihres Gartens neu machen und überlegt noch, ob sie einen Judasbaum pflanzen soll.

ReplyDeleteYou've mowed your lawn twice already? I don't think Montauk has needed it yet; perhaps we get less rain than you. We'll go out this weekend and maybe mow for the first time.
It's nice seeing Peter and Flora playing the card game together.
Same to you! There are many beautiful flowers now, but that magnolia tree will not bloom this year, maybe next year.
DeleteNo, we only mowed once, but many neighbors have done more mowing. We are the best on our street with snow shoveling, but the other people are mowing more. We have only mowed the front lawn, not the sides and the back.
Flora loves games and Peter is an avid player as well (when he has the time).
