ReplyDeleteI woke this morning to the sound of a cardinal! It was the only bird in the courtyard; not even the blue jays were out. And then, on my walk this afternoon I heard a black capped chickadee and watched it bopping around in a tree along the sidewalk. We don't get as many chickadees (or cardinals) in our courtyard as we used to, so I was happy to see one today.
Yes, he was a bit perplexed by the snow and kept following Peter around.
DeleteA cardinal! That is so nice to hear one and see one in the city! We always have them at our feeder and we had over five blue jays today. And the chickadees and juncos are very plentiful here.
