Love in Winter/Liebe im Winter

Reading in church for today/Heutige Lesung

When we woke up this morning, it was 0 degrees Fahrenheit! We had frozen windowpanes:

After Mass this morning, we all came back home fast to escape the cold.  The thermometer had risen to 4 degrees by then.  Although it was cold, the children went outside in the afternoon to play.  Jonathan and Charlotte made up a game which involved snowshovels and goals.  They told me it was a mix between ice hockey (or was it football?) and lacrosse.  Inside Jonathan played a game of basketball with some of our little people:

Miriam started reading in Ladybug, which she received for her birthday.

My Path to Heaven: A Young Person's Guide to the FaithAnother book for today was one of our favorites: My Path to Heaven: A Young Person's Guide to the FaithHere's a sample chapter.  Tomorrow, we'll prepare a simple craft for Candlemas, February 2.
