A walk from the library to the bakery this afternoon. However, the bakery had closed early because of the upcoming 4th of July holiday. We could not buy bread.
Ein Spaziergang von der Bücherei zur Bäckerei heute nachmittag. Die Bäckerei hatte jedoch zu, weil wir bald den 4. Juli (Unabhängigkeitstag) feiern. Wir konnten kein Brot kaufen.
They have planted milkweed for the monarchs in the village park.
Im Dorfpark hat man Seidenpflanzen für die Monarchfalter gepflanzt.

Miriam is working in the bookstore on campus this week. Charlotte taught a ballet class on Monday and took care of her tutoring children. Veronika and I finished watching Constitution USA and now we are working on finishing Introduction to Western Philosophy from Hillsdale.
Miriam arbeitet im Moment im Buchladen vom College. Charlotte hat Ballett unterrichtet und sich um ihre "Kinder" gekümmert. Veronika und ich haben eine weitere Serie über die amerikanische Verfassung zu Ende gesehen und arbeiten jetzt an einem Philosophiekurs von Hillsdale College, der auch fertig werden muß.

Flora and I have started reading The Hedge School (paid link). Mit Flora lese ich ein Buch, das zur Zeit der britischen Besatzung 1735 in Irland spielt.
Peter is in Ohio participating in a conference. He stopped at Mercyhurst in Erie and sent us these pictures. He briefly saw Katie, one of Charlotte's roommates, who works in admissions now. From Ohio, he sent us a picture of rabbits.
Peter ist im Moment in Ohio, wo er an einer Konferenz teilnimmt. Auf der Hinfahrt hat er bei Charlottes Uni (Mercyhurst) in Erie angehalten. Davon hat er uns Fotos geschickt. Er hat auch kurz Katie, eine von Charlottes Mitbewohnerinnen gesehen, die eine Teilzeitstelle bei der Uni hat. Aus Ohio hat er uns ein Foto von Kaninchen geschickt.
He is working hard and also ran into the father of Miriam's roommate Nancy.
Er arbeitet viel und hat den Vater von Miriams Mitbewohnerin Nancy dort getroffen.
Beautiful photos of the crows, flowers and Mercyhurst! The Hedge School fits in with my tour of an Irish immigrant family's apartment at the Tenement Museum on Tuesday :) Your Constitution studies are apropos with what has been going on lately . . ! It sounds like Peter is having a nice time at his conference . . our tiger day lilies are starting to wilt now . .
