It looks like a wonderful book to read and makes me think of "Mama's Bank Account" by Kathryn Forbes. We read the book and watched the movie titled "I Remember Mama."
ReplyDeleteIt is so funny, but also very touching. I don't know "Mama's Bank Account." I have to check the library for it.
DeleteAh, they do not have it.
DeleteOur library never had it either, but my sister always had a copy as it's about a Norwegian family and Warren is Norwegian.
DeleteWell his grandparents were both from Norway!
DeleteAnd the movie is one of my favorites . . I love that it takes place in San Francisco :)
DeleteThey have the movie, but not the book. I did not know that Warren's family came from Norway. Is that why Morgana and Chanda visited some relatives there?
DeleteYes :)
DeleteI keep forgetting to write that I like your new background!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, I thought it would go well with summer.
DeleteYes, it's bright and feels like an Amish motif to me . . maybe it's the birds. I don't know why I have that connection!
DeleteTrue!
