Thanks so much, Dorina! We used to have two huge apple trees in our garden, when I was growing up. My mom made apple jelly every fall. It would last a whole year!
Have you ever tried to make it? I've had apple butter, and my mom would buy an apple jelly for her fruit cake, but she never made it. It must be delicious. And it's nice to think of your mom "seeing" the photos even if you're not sure how much she can attend to xoxo :)
Yes, I did make apple jelly many years ago. I think Veronika was a baby. I tried making it without pectin and it worked! My mother always used pectin, but I wanted to see if it would work without. It does, but you have to boil your juice much longer. My mom also used a steam juicer, which makes things easier, but I did not have that either. But my jelly was really good! I should try it again. Yes, I like to think that my mother might recognize something when my dad shows her the photos.
Such a stunning sunrise thank you Flora for sharing and Miriam too from afar 🩷. Happy Saturday to you Eva, is it a chore and baking day? Whatever you are doing may you enjoy moments of quiet too. Love and God bless San xx
I will thank them! The sky was truly beautiful and there is no filter in the camera. Yes, we are doing chores and Charlotte has already the scone baking for breakfast. Now she left for the grocery store to get some more ingredients to bake a cake for Sunday. Peter has a homecoming banquet on campus tonight. Maybe a bit later, there will be quiet moments. Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed Sunday!
Beautiful sunrise photos, and the apple picking looks fun. I miss apple picking with my parents :)

DeleteP.S. It's nice that Miriam sends photos to you.
ReplyDeleteYes, she always thinks of me and her grandfather (my father). He shows these pictures to my mother, even though we do not know how much she can see.
