Charlotte was gone most of the day, but she had baked goodies for all her students and families to celebrate her birthday. We opened presents in the evening. Jonathan and Miriam called and we had a nice group chat. Jonathan is attending a conference in D.C. right now.
Charlotte war fast den ganzen Tag weg. Sie hatte für all ihre Schüler und Familien gebacken und so ihren Geburtstag gefeiert. Abends haben wir dann zu Hause Geschenke aufgemacht. Jonathan und Miriam haben angerufen und so gab es ein Videogespräch. Jonathan ist im Moment wieder in Washington, wo er an einer Konferenz teilnimmt.

Happy Birthday! Such beautiful photos of the morning sky! And it sounds like a lovely celebration . . how nice that you could all chat together in the evening :) Is the little cat face present meant to be a basket? It's cute. The Seneca white corn flour looks good! I love seeing you both when she was just moments old . . and the photo of Peter with the two of them is very sweet . . Jonathan looks so winsome with his bright smile.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Dorina. Chanda will follow Charlotte soon :). We had a beautiful day, even though Charlotte had to be gone almost all day. Yes, it is a basket. I thought it was really neat! Peter took a field trip to the Seneca Museum with students and bought that flour. Charlotte's birth was chaotic: There was a full moon and no room for us to give birth in because so many women were giving birth the same morning. We ended up in some storage room for the actual birth, but soon got moved. Jonathan was such a happy little chap. He was very charming and adorable. He still gets that smile when he is really happy :).

DeleteYes, it was quite dramatic and they had a shortage of nurses due to so many births on the same day. Something similar happened when Veronika was born: It was another full moon and there was no room. She was born in some kind of ultrasound room.

ReplyDeleteThanks so much, San. Hard to believe that that baby is 24 now. Time does fly. Jonathan was a cute baby and toddler and loved his sister dearly (and still does).
