Here is Fora's Bayeux Tapestry picture she colored. She thought about trying to copy it, but it turned out to be too hard.

Here is Veronika's map of colonialism in Africa, but she is not finished yet.
Flora is learning to write old German script.
Flora lernt die Sütterlinschrift.
Here she is helping me cut potatoes.
Hier hilft sie beim Kartoffelschneiden.
Flora drew this last school year, but we added some explanations.
We read this book about Henry the Lion and his trip to the Holy Land.
This is a neat paper craft which turns two-dimensional shapes into three-dimensional ones. Veronika made it. Watch the video!
Diese Bastelei stammt von Veronika. Zweidimensionale Figuren werden in dreidimensionale verwandelt. Das Video zeigt wie das so geht.
And finally, this is a science experiment about buoyancy for Flora. She had to figure out how many pennies her aluminum foil boat would hole before sinking in salt water.
DeleteFlora's art work is just lovely and the 2D to 3D paper craft is just brill 😊. I think I count seven pennies was that right number? Hope you are having a lovely Sunday xx
ReplyDeleteAh, thanks so much! I also thought that this 2D/3D craft was really neat. She did the experiment twice, but I have to ask her again, how many pennies she had. The number was smaller than she thought her boat would hold. We went on the county artisans tour on Sunday, which was a nice outing.
DeleteWonderful work and beautiful books! I love the paper craft! Did Flora guess the right amount of pennies? San saw seven, but I think I see eight, though more could be hidden. Flora's profile and hair made me think it was Charlotte in the photo at first.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Dorina. No, she thought her boat would hold many more, but I have to ask her again. I will let you both know. I can see what you mean with the profile, although their faces are quite different. Must be a family resemblance after all.
