Both girls have started on their new main lessons: World History. Veronika is concentrating on the history of the 20th century and Flora is wrapping up the Middle Ages and moving on to the Renaissance. Veronika and I watched an old documentary on the Suez Canal (our first lesson today was on imperialism). She then drew a map of Africa into her main lesson book. Flora learned about the Bayeux Tapestry and started coloring a part of it. We also watched an animated version of it (see below). Flora's new read-aloud is The Prince and the Pauper.
That caterpillar is very unusual - I’ve never seen anything like it. The girls lesson work sounds very interesting and I’m looking forward to seeing all the associated art work 🙂. Happy Tuesday xx
This kind is really huge. It can also be green. I have to take pictures! I did not do so today. There were too many things going on, but we did have a lovely Tuesday.
I thought the film was quite convincing. I think Flora likes it so far. It does make her laugh (but it also reminds us of Dickens showing the lot of the poor).

DeleteThat's a funny little film of the tapestry! And the caterpillar is amazing. What does Flora think of the Prince and the Pauper?
