Another relaxed Christmas day: We went to church, had another good meal, read stories, did a craft, Charlotte finished baking the last cookies, and there was time for playing games and going for walks in the cold. We lit the candles on the tree and sang.
Noch ein gemütlicher Weihnachtstag: Wir waren in der Kirche, haben wieder gut gegessen, Geschichten vorgelesen, gebastelt, Charlotte hat die letzten Weihnachtsplätzchen gebacken, und es gab auch Zeit für Spiele und Spaziergänge (in der Kälte). Die Kerzen am Baum brannten auch wieder und wir haben zusammen gesungen.

ReplyDeleteThanks, San! The cake was good and used up some of our many pears. Your sweet package arrived and the bag is perfect, especially for all the bakers. I will get our package to you next week, we are still working on the Christmas letter, but I do not want to send the letter separately from the package because postage has gotten so high. Thanks also for the coffee, we will serve it tomorrow as a special Sunday treat.

ReplyDeleteWir machen immer besondere Aktivitäten bis zum 6. Januar. Weihnachten ist also bei uns noch nicht zu Ende und wir machen auch fast jeden Abend den Baum an (echte Kerzen). Wir lesen weiterhin Weihnachtsbücher und singen auch. Es ist also wirklich gemütlich.

ReplyDeleteThanks so much. I used fontina cheese, cream cheese, green onions, parsley, and sun-dried tomatoes. There was also some bacon in them. No, no sautéing! I just combined it all and baked it with fresh thyme, salt, and olive oil.
