Flora, Charlotte, Miriam, and I drove to the open house at the GCV&M today. It was quite a cold day.
Flora, Charlotte, Miriam und ich sind heute zu Weihnachtsaktivitäten im Freilichtmuseum gefahren. Es war ziemlich kalt.
We are parking behind the museum to get Miriam to the costume place. She was on duty today.
Wir parken hinter dem Museum, damit Miriam ihr Kostüm abholen kann. Sie war heute zum Arbeiten eingeteilt.
Then we entered the museum the "proper" way.
Dann sind wir ganz "ordentlich" vorne ins Museum reingegangen.
Here, tinsel is still called "lametta" (this is what it is called in Germany).

Happy Advent, Eva. The village is just beautiful and reminds me of the wonderful winter days we had at Sturbridge. Miriam's dress is so pretty and yes, I agree that the geese look cold! I remember thinking this last winter when walking on the pier and seeing them pecking at the salt that had been laid out.

Thanks so much! I bet Sturbridge would have a similar event before Christmas! I felt sorry for those poor geese, but they could have gone into their shelter . . .

My lovely German friend always has straw decorations on her tree. What a lovely day but I bet you were glad to be home in the warmth x
ReplyDeleteYes, they are typical in Germany, the Scandinavian countries, Poland, and some other ones. I was sooo cold! I could not get warm, even at home. I tried hot chocolate, but that did not help much either.
