Drilling Dust/Bohrstaub

Peter drove the girls to their rehearsal today and then went on to Geneseo to do the grocery shopping.  While he was gone, I washed all the sheets and did the regular Saturday cleaning chores.  I also decorated a bit more for Advent and then I finally started on cleaning up our basement.  The work is done now, but EVERYTHING is covered with a gray coating of drilling dust.  I tackled the cleaning supplies and pantry items today.  I brought everything into the kitchen and wiped it down or washed it.  When Peter got home, he cleaned the shelf those things are stored on.  Then I cleaned the walls and the floor where the shelf belongs.  Together, we carried the food and cleaning supplies back down again.  It looks so much better!  Now we have to move on to the other shelves down there.  It will not be a fast task.  

Peter hat die Mädchen zur Nußknackerprobe gefahren und hat dann in Geneseo eingekauft.  Während er weg war, habe ich alle Bettwäsche gewaschen und die Samstagsputzaufgaben erledigt.  Danach habe ich für Advent geschmückt  und bin dann in den Keller gestiegen, um endlich mit der Staubbeseitigung anzufangen.  Die Arbeit da unten ist jetzt fertig, doch muß jetzt alles geputzt werden, weil alles mit einer grauen Betonstaubschicht überzogen ist.  Ich habe mit dem Regal angefangen, auf dem Putzmittel und Lebensmittel stehen.  Ich habe alles nach oben gebracht und abgewaschen oder abgewischt.  Als Peter wieder zu Hause war, hat er das Regal geputzt.  Dann haben wir das Regal bewegt, damit ich hinter dem Regal die Wände und unter dem Regal den Boden putzen konnte.  Gemeinsam haben wir das Regal wieder eingeräumt.  Jetzt sieht es viel besser aus und wir können uns den anderen Regalen da unten widmen.  Das wird alles noch sehr lange dauern.
