I took my girls to the Immaculate Conception church in Wellsville for the vigil Mass today. The church is beautiful!
Heute war ich mit meinen Mädchen zur Vorabendmesse in der Kirche der unbefleckten Empfängnis in Wellsville. Die Kirche ist sehr hübsch.
Waiting for Jesus
Warten auf Jesus
Afterwards, we went grocery shopping: Tops, the supermarket chain, always has free fruit for children.
Danach waren wir im Supermarkt, um einzukaufen. Dort gibt es immer kostenloses Obst für Kinder.
Jonathan is now also back home! He still has one final exam left, which he will take online.
Jonathan ist jetzt auch zu Hause! Er hat noch eine Abschlußklausur übrig, die er online machen wird.
That church really is beautiful - enjoy your Christmas preparations ❤️
ReplyDeleteYes, it is an older church ("older" in American terms). I guess we will start with baking and continue crafting tomorrow. I am afraid that I will not be able to mail any Christmas gifts early enough for Christmas Day. And Peter has not started on our Christmas letter yet. Oh well, that is how it is.
DeleteI read your note to San . . yes it is how it is . . no worries as there are twelve days of Christmas and it's nice to enjoy a little bit here and then more later :) The church is lovely. How nice that you could go. Good luck with your baking. I haven't mailed your gift out yet either . . though I did have Morgan pick something up for San in the U.K. How good it felt to save on international postage.
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed that they leave the fruit out for the children . . so nice! I still haven't been to the Wegman's in Brooklyn, but I heard a rumor that one will open within walking distance!
Charlotte started with the baking, but it is kind of slow because we have to drive here and there to get ingredients. The local store does not have most of them. The international postage is so high! It is going up all the time and they never publicize it. Most small things are $14.00 and up.
DeleteAh, that store was Tops! It is not as good as Wegmans, but it is closer :). I guess for somebody in NYC, Wegmans would not be such a big thing, but for us around here, it is like paradise. And it is a family business! That should make you happy. It is still run by the Wegmans family.
