It was quite hot again today and a perfect day to wash our winter coats, hats, scarves, and mittens. I also made popsicles (chocolate fudge) for everybody.
Es war heute wieder sehr heiß und damit ein perfekter Tag, viele der Winterjacken, Mützen, Schals und Handschuhe zu waschen. Außerdem habe ich Schokoladenleckeis für alle gemacht.

ReplyDeleteAus Mandelmilch, Zucker, Pfeilwurzmehl, Kakao, so ähnlich wie dieses Rezept. Ich mache viel solches Eis, auch mit Saft und Joghurt.
DeleteVon Pfeilwurzemehl habe ich noch nie was gehört. Ich habe es gerade nachgeschaut, es ist hier noch relativ unbekannt und auch richtig teuer! 200 g kosten 10 Euro. Wahnsinn! Probiere ich trotzdem aus, aber mit anderem Mehl.
DeleteDas wird hier sehr viel benutzt. Es gibt sogar Babykekse damit. Es ist gut bekömmlich und sehr billig hier. Nimm Maisstärke oder Tapiokastärke, aber kein Mehl. Vielleicht geht auch Kartoffelstärke?

ReplyDeleteI love seeing laundry hanging outside on a line. It must smell wonderfully bucolic.
They are very simple. I used sugar, almond milk, cocoa, and arrowroot starch. I don't know where I got my recipe, but here is a similar one. I do not use as much cocoa as they are suggesting.

I am not sure about this dress anymore. I have to ask the girls. I don't remember buying it, so it must have been gifted to us.

ReplyDeleteYou are welcome. I always try to do a load of this seasonal laundry during the week in the morning before doing the regular laundry.
DeleteI finished grading all the things these two students have submitted, but there is more to come. They will take their finals on Monday or Tuesday, then I will finish grading those finals and anything else they have submitted. Those grades have to go to the registrar and then I will be done! Hurrah!
