We also went to church all together again for the first time since the beginning of March. No singing, our family sat in the choir loft to leave more spaces for people in the congregation, masks, and no chance to talk to people afterwards. Peter did play the organ and sang one hymn during communion.
Wir sind auch alle zusammen in die Kirche gegangen. Das war das erste Mal seit Anfang März Kein Gesang, unsere Familie saß auf der Orgelempore, damit im Kirchenschiff mehr Platz war, Mundschutz, keine Gelegenheit mit Leuten zu reden: also alles sehr ungewohnt. Peter hat die Orgel gespielt und ein Kirchenlied während der Kommunion gesungen.

So ein leckeres Frühstück, toll! Das Bild ist ja auch schön, wie lange das schon her ist... Ich mag solche Erinnerungen gern. Wir haben letzte Woche in meiner "Amerikakiste" mit alten Fotos gewühlt, das fanden die Kinder auch sehr interessant, besonders, wie ich damals aussah. :-)
ReplyDeleteEs war ganz lecker! Ja, so Fotokisten sind toll, nicht wahr? Manchmal sogar besser als all diese digitalen Fotos. Kinder können sich gar nicht vorstellen, daß Eltern auch mal jung waren. Oft lachen sie auch über Kleidung und sonstige ungewohnte Anblicke, nicht wahr?
DeleteJa, so wie ich mich auch wundere, wie jung meine Eltern damals noch aussahen, von denen wir in der Kiste auch Fotos gefunden haben weil sie mich dort abgeholt haben. Aber es sind schöne Erinnerungen und die Kinder mögen die Fotos.

ReplyDeleteThe breakfast looks very good (especially the icing on the scones!). Charlotte is an inspired baker. What is a shirred egg? Is it similar to a poached egg?
Thanks, Dorina! Jonathan used to be so little and loved to cuddle. So nice that all your girls could talk with Greg. Charlotte has been inventive with different kinds of icing :). Shirred eggs are eggs baked in the oven with a bit of salt, cream, and sometimes chives. They have much more flavor than poached eggs.
