Flora and Charlotte got up early to make breakfast. Miriam made a pretty banner and baked cookies, Veronika drew a card, and all children gave their dad a wooden box, decorated with a hand-painted bird, which they found at the GCV&M yesterday. I made a rhubarb compote for dessert, a dish Peter had requested 😊! Happy Father's Day to my wonderful husband.

Such a lovely Father's Day! We had a nice day also. Chanda and I had breakfast out at Greg's favorite local cafe. Basically, it serves classic diner food. We always choose to have omelettes, with coffee and hash browns. It's a nice place and well priced. We then went to see Korrina while Greg rested at home and took his "drink" for the colonoscopy he had the next day. So I guess it wasn't exactly the best Father's Day for him, but the morning was nice :) The children's gifts for Peter are all wonderful, and the wood box with the painted bird is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteDoes Greg like diner's food? Peter's dad does. Your day does sound nice (except the evening). Greg must be glad that it is all over now. A local artist painted the box and all children gave it to him together.
