St. Pancras Station
St. Pancras Bahnhofsstation
I just realized, I forgot to add the pictures of our visit to the British Library on Friday. It is very close to the St. Pancras Station.

Klencke Atlas, one of the largest atlases in the world, from 1660
There was a prayer room next to the atlas. We thought that was very peculiar.

Most books are in the library's basement. The library has over 170 million items.
Die meisten Bücher sind im Keller. Die Bibliothek hat über 170 Millionen Medien.
Of course, the most interesting part of the library is the rare book collection. You are not allowed to take pictures there, but you can see many of their items here. It was amazing to see "Beowulf," the "Magna Carta," the "Lindisfarne Gospels," and many more.

Such beautiful buildings . . and manuscripts! Did Flora enjoy the trail?
ReplyDeleteFunny that you asked: She was quite bored there. It was not her cup of tea, but the trail was meant to be more for Veronika's age. Flora had more fun in church because she got to carry the cross. There is a very friendly sister leading the Stations now. She is good with children.
