I am really tired of this snow! It is snowing again today and is quite cold.
Inzwischen reicht mir dieser Schnee! Es schneit heute wieder und ist ziemlich kalt.

Julius loves to cuddle with people who are working (like Jonathan) or reading (like Flora).

Guess what Flora is reading! "Die Welt," a German newspaper that was in a package her "Opa" sent us and which arrived today. She told me that she read about Pope Francis and his prayers to end the spread of the virus.
Was liest die Flora hier? "Die Welt"! Diese Zeitung war in einem Paket von ihrem Opa, das heute angekommen ist. Sie hat mir erzählt, sie habe etwas über Papst Franziskus gelesen, der für ein Ende der Epidemie betet.

Dieses schöne leere Grab war in dem Paket.
Tomorrow, I will sew some masks because they have become mandatory for visits to crowded places, like the grocery store.
Morgen muß ich wohl einige Mundschutze nähen, weil sie jetzt hier für den Besuch in bestimmten Einrichtungen wie Lebensmittelläden Pflicht geworden sind. Kaufen kann man sie nicht: Es gibt einfach keine!
The plumber managed to fix the sink and also a flapper in the upstairs toilet. At least that is working now.
Der Klempner hat das Waschbecken oben repariert und auch ein Stück im Tank der Toilette oben ersetzt. Das funktioniert jetzt wieder alles.
Hi Eva, I hope the snow has cleared and that the weather has warmed up a little. We are very grateful for blue skies and sunshine but there has been a marked temperature drop and it is definitely woolly jumper weather. Flora's drawings are quite lovely and very realistic. I hope you won't be too swamped with extra work now that you are providing subtitles for the documentary. Sending love to you xx
ReplyDeleteIt was almost gone today, but Wednesday is another day for snow. Last year, it was much warmer this time of year. Thanks for the kind words about Flora's drawings. Well, we see how it goes. There are about 1700 subtitles to work on . . . I do have to watch the documentary first, though. I started with the subtitles, but without having seen the movie, it is kind of hard.
DeleteAch, Eva, wann kommt endlich der Frühling bei Euch, das ist ja ein Jammer! Ich drück Euch die Daumen. Justus ist wie Cookie, die sitzt auch immer neben irgendwem. Oder liegt in den kleinsten Sonnenstrahlen auf dem Boden, die sie finden kann.
