Here are our two library workers. They really enjoy their two hours every Wednesday.
Hier sind unsere zwei Büchereiarbeiterinnen. Sie mögen ihre zwei Stunden jeden Mittwoch dort sehr.
After having dropped off the girls at the library, I drove back home and Flora and I tried out the map she drew of our neighborhood. We started on campus and then walked the way she had indicated on the map. I let her lead the way and we did make it home!

Nachdem ich die beiden bei der Bücherei abgegeben hatte, bin ich mit Flora wieder nach Hause gefahren. Flora und ich haben dann ihre Landkarte ausprobiert, die sie von einem Teil unseres Dorfes gemalt hat. Wir haben beim College geparkt und sind dann so wie sie es gezeichnet hatte, nach Hause gegangen. Flora hat uns mit Hilfe ihrer Karte gut nach Hause bekommen!

This road is finally getting paved. It has been a mess for many months now.
Diese Straße wird endlich geteert. Sie ist schon seit mehreren Monaten in einem schrecklichen Zustand.
We are taking a short-cut.
Wir nehmen eine Abkürzung.
They are also working at the other end of the road.
Sie arbeiten auch am anderen Ende der Straße.
Flora found a Woolly Bear.
Flora hat einen Gebänderten Wollbär gefunden.
Not the greatest picture, but the more black there is, the more severe the next winter will be.
Nicht ein besonders gutes Foto, aber je mehr Schwarz zu sehen ist, desto strenger wird der kommende Winter.
Thank goodness they paved the road. I never like it when they leave it broken up for such a long period of time.

Well, they paved the drain pipes shut! That is partly why our basement was flooded. They came out after the flooding to dig up the side of the road and free the pipes. Road maintenance here is not very well executed.
DeleteI think we had one fall where we found a woolly bear with a large black stripe and then the winter was severe. The leaves are falling fast this year, so maybe there will be another severe one coming.
