We were on our way to the Bankside Gallery to see the annual Broderers' Exhibition. We saw it last time were here. Below are just a few of those fascinating works of embroidery.

All these sights are very familiar to us, but it was a beautiful day and we enjoyed walking around.
Diese Sehenswürdigkeiten sind für uns nicht neu, aber es war ein schöner Tag für einen Spaziergang.
A lovely Sunday! And what an incredibly beautiful exhibition. Thank you for the link and the photos :) You had warm sunshine for your walk to one of my favorite parts of London - the Globe and Southwark Cathedral. Next time you should stop and say hello to Hodge the Cat! It's also a pretty church with a nice little garden.
ReplyDeleteIt was a nice day, but so crowded on the other side of the Thames. I think I have never seen so many people there. We had a cup of coffee at the café at the cathedral, but ran out of time to go inside this time because Peter still had prepare his Monday's class. I remember your blog entry about the cat. Maybe next time.
DeleteHow did we manage to miss seeing the cathedral's cafe?! That's so funny. I guess we were so focused on looking for Hodge, though we did visit the gift shop. Maybe the cafe wasn't set up in 2022? Maybe because it's outside of the building and we made a beeline for the entrance . . too funny :) It looks very nice! Interesting how crowded it was. We did visit Borough Market too and that was very busy.
DeleteOh, it is in the back of the church, towards the Thames. Depending from which direction you come, you would not notice it. Yes, Borough Market is always crowded!
Delete(And you took a very interesting photo of the gulls and the Thames and the Millennium Bridge!)
ReplyDeleteIt looked like they were attacking London! I only noticed this after I had uploaded the picture here :).
DeleteIt does look that way . . and you hadn't noticed at first! :)
DeleteI had not focused on the birds, just on the view :). Flora was taking pictures of the pigeons, she was more interested in them.
