Egg muffins for lunch: Only one big meal and two smaller meals and no meat are allowed today.
Mini-Omeletts fürs Mittagessen: Heute darf man nur eine Hauptmahlzeit und zwei kleinere Mahlzeiten essen und natürlich auch kein Fleisch.
I served a spaghetti squash casserole with the egg muffins.
Dazu gab es einen Spaghettikürbisauflauf.

Back home, we made this beautiful cross.
Zu Hause haben wir dieses schöne Kreuz gebastelt.
And tonight, we are trying our hand at Pysanky eggs!
Und heute abend probieren wir zum ersten Mal ukrainische Ostereier aus!

Kurz nachdem ich Charlottes Ei fotografiert hatte, hat sie es fallen gelassen! Jetzt muß man von vorne wieder anfangen. 😢
At Miriam's college, the young men carried a cross 2 miles up a mountain road before the veneration of the cross in their church. Quite impressive, I thought!
An Miriams College haben die jungen Männer ein Kreuz 2 Meilen einen Berg raufgetragen, bevor es später dann in der Kirche verehrt wurde. Das finde ich sehr beeindruckend!

I'm sorry Charlotte dropped the egg, that must have been a bit disappointing (it looked so pretty). Your hot cross buns look very good and it's nice to see Miriam's college photo of the young men carrying the cross.
ReplyDeleteShe was very sad, but then decided to finish it anyway. We are hoping that the varnish will hold it together. Otherwise she will have pretty shards. The buns were yummy, just did not rise enough (I tried a different recipe with sour cream added). Magdalen did a phantastic job celebrating Holy Week. They have their own IG page and you can see what they did a bit there.
