Our Sunday read aloud book is Columban (in German) right now. Here is a link to the English edition. There was a baptism in church today and a lunch for all afterwards. This afternoon, I rested my foot and worked on several "quiet" things, including going over the Nutcracker rehearsal schedule and transferring the different rehearsals into our family calendar. It will be a busy November and early December! I also added our Home Ecology dates and some GCV&M dates. Some of my music students have recitals (I always try to attend them) and on the weekend they will perform a musical here on campus. I bought tickets for Flora, Veronika, and myself to attend. Tomorrow, Flora will have her annual well-child check-up. In the afternoon, Veronika and Flora will carve their pumpkins and then they will go trick-or-treating in the evening. No ballet tomorrow!
Unsere Sonntagslektüre ist im Moment Columban. In der Kirche gab es heute eine Taufe und anschließendes Mittagessen. Heute nachmittag habe ich meinen Fuß wieder geschont und verschiedene Dinge erledigt, die man auch im Sitzen tun kann, z. B. die Nußknackerproben in unseren Familienkalender einzutragen. Dazu habe ich dann auch unser Naturklassen da hinein geschrieben und auch noch einige Daten vom Freilichtmuseum. November und der frühe Dezember werden sind schon sehr voll. Einige meiner Studenten haben bald Konzerte, zu denen ich immer hingehe, wenn ich kann, und auch die Daten stehen jetzt im Kalender. Am Wochenende führen diese Studenten ein Musical auf. Dafür habe ich Flora, Veronika und mir Karten gekauft. Morgen hat Flora eine Vorsorgeuntersuchung beim Kinderarzt. Nachmittags wollen Veronika und Flora dann ihre Kürbisse schnitzen und abends machen sie "Trick-or-Treat". Ballett fällt dann morgen aus.
Your Sunday sounds like it was very pleasant. The baptism and lunch must have been lovely, and now you're caught up on scheduling and know how the next two months will unfold. It will be busy but fun :)
ReplyDeleteIt was nice and we had a nice chat with our interim pastor. All parishes get new pastors assigned and Father Dennis has already left. Now we have Father Pat for the interim. We are not sure when we will get the new pastor. Yes, it will be busy although there are just two girls left!
DeleteP.S. I always enjoy music recitals, and Columban is a nice book to read. Chanda's middle name is Iona. It was her Scottish great grandmother's name (Greg's side of the family).
