Booster, Ballet, and Groceries/Auffrischimpfung, Ballett und Lebensmitteleinkauf

We had appointments for our 2nd Covid boosters (the new bivalent one) today.  I had scheduled them right before ballet at Walgreens to cut down on driving.  Afterwards, we dropped off the girls at ballet and continued on to Wegmans to so some much needed grocery shopping.  Charlotte is back in Pennsylvania.  Peter took her back after church yesterday.  Before she left, we ate her apple bread 💛 .

Most fields are empty  now.
Die meisten Felder stehen jetzt leer.

We briefly stopped at Butter Meat.
Wir haben kurz bei Butter Fleisch angehalten.

Beautiful leaves!
Wunderschöne Blätter!

Ha, ha!
Lustig!

The "German section": All these products came from Germany.
Die "deutsche Abteilung": Diese Produkte kamen alle aus Deutschland.

The drive back home was DARK.
Die Rückfahrt war sehr dunkel.

  1. Hope Veronika's test went well and that you are enjoying your mid term break. Charlotte's apple bread looks delicious - I bet it smelled and tasted delicious too ❤️. Pip's half term break is for two weeks, so we managed a short trip to Northumbria, travelling yesterday and returning home today. Dave and I are booked for our fourth Covid jab - three last year and I'm ill after every jab, so I hope your reactions if any are short lived and manageable. Sending hugs xx

    1. She thought that the math part was hard, but answered all the questions. She won't find out until early December about her results. It is a short break and tomorrow is back to normal, but it felt good to not have to teach for a few days. So nice you got to travel! I have to take a look at your pictures. We did okay with number 4. Our arms hurt and we all feel tired and achy today, but no fevers or awful side effects. Peter has not gotten the booster because we now think that he had Covid in Germany when he went there for a conference. He will wait with his booster because you are not supposed to get one so soon after you have had Covid. Miriam might get the booster when she comes home in November. Jonathan and Charlotte will not get it right now either because they also had Covid during the summer/early fall. I hope that your booster will go well. We did Pfizer this time (the girls only have had Pfizer, but I had been a Moderna girl). But the drugstore only offered Pfizer, so that is what we got.

  2. The leaves were beautiful in CT also when we were there . . your roads are indeed very dark at night! That is a funny sign about the wine and Charlotte's bread is very enticing!

    1. Ours are done by now. Most of them are brown. Yes, it is pitch dark around here. I think the people were selling some special drink for the Bills game.
