Wir packen immer noch aus und versuchen uns an die andere Zeit hier zu gewöhnen. Wir haben schon viele von meinen Zimmerpflanzen vom Campus geholt und wieder im Haus verteilt. Wir räumen auch immer noch alle Bücher weg. Die meisten Kleider sind schon wieder da, wo sie hingehören.

ReplyDeleteYes, it is nice, but Jonathan has to leave on Sunday again. He will be doing an internship in D.C. Spring has sprung even in this part of New York. The lilacs are in bloom right now.

DeleteI love lilacs. They always bloom at this time of year around Morgana's birthday. I have a wonderful memory of walking through the Brooklyn Botanic Garden a few days before she was born and being swept up in the sweetness of their aroma.
It was supposed to be for the entire summer, but now he will take a six-week long break to teach at the Hertog Foundation as a T.A. The internship is at the Hudson Institute. Morgana walked around smelling the lilacs wherever we went :). They were blooming in London in April. Maybe your walk gave her the desire to go and smell them. It is a heavenly smell. We used to have four small lilac trees in front of the house where I spent most of my childhood (not in the north, where my parents are not). I loved them.

DeleteIch glaube schon. Er hätte diese Stelle bei Hertog eigentlich nicht bekommen sollen, weil er sich irgendwie zu spät beworben hatte (oder so etwas ähnliches). Dann ist aber wer anders abgesprungen und jetzt kann es doch machen. Das Hudson Institut scheint auch gut zu sein.
