Congratulations Miriam! And what a lovely day all of you had for the occasion. So good to be all together :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! It was a bittersweet day and there were tears. Why does a faithful and good college like Magdalen have to close? It is a lovely place and Miriam had a very good time there and learned a lot. The professors are such great and dedicated people and the president gave a very moving speech during commencement. But it meant a lot to Miriam that Jonathan could also join.
DeleteYes, it was nice that Jonathan could join you, and I agree that it's a shame for such a good college as Magdalen to close. It is sad. Now all the good people of Magdalen will disperse to bring their love and goodness to new places; Miriam too. I wish her luck with her decision about her next destination xoxoxo
DeleteMost of the professors have not found new jobs. That is really hard! The students will scatter all over the U.S. I hope Miriam will be able to stay in touch with her best friends. She has to make a decision soon and it is not easy for her.
DeleteNo, these decisions are not easy but I'm sure it will be good whichever place she picks. Wishing luck to her and to the professors!
DeleteThanks so much, Dorina. She has narrowed her choice down to three schools, but it is still hard. We have gotten to know especially two of her professors (one used to be a student here at our college) and the other grew up in Buffalo. They are not sure what to do now because they are close to retirement age.
Delete(sigh) That is a difficult situation for the professors.
DeleteYes, we talked to some of them about the situation because we have gotten to know them quite well.
DeleteHerzlichen Glückwunsch, Miriam!
ReplyDeleteDanke schön, sagt Miriam!
DeleteBeautiful photos 🩷. Well done Miriam. I know I’ve missed a trick but where will Miriam finish her studies?
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, San! She is not sure yet! It might be here in the U.S. or in Austria :).
DeleteAustria sounds interesting! Praying that all will go well xx
DeleteThanks for your prayers. We can use them right now.
