In the morning we decided on the spur of the moment to attend a craft hour at Two Temple Place.  They were making origami birds to go with their exhibition of drawings by John Ruskin.

Am Morgen haben wir uns spontan entschlossen, an einer Bastelstunde im Two Temple Place teilzunehmen.  Sie haben dort Origamivögel gebastelt, die zu einer Ausstellung der Zeichnungen von John Ruskin paßten.    

 I guess I still have to take a picture of our finished birds!

Ich muß wohl noch unsere fertigen Vögel fotografieren!

 Here we are walking to meet Oma and Opa.

Hier gehen wir, um Oma und Opa zu treffen.

 After lunch, Miriam went with Oma and Opa to do some birthday shopping.  I walked along "The Strand" with the other girls.  You can see an old tube station in the picture.  It is not open anymore.    

Nach dem Mittagesssen ist Miriam mit Oma und Opa zum Einkaufen (Geburtstagsgeschenk für sie) gegangen.  Ich bin mit den anderen Mädchen die Straße "Strand" entlanggegangen.  Oben ist eine alte U-Bahnstation, die jetzt geschlossen ist.    

 On the way to the Twinings store, we stopped at St. Clement Danes.  Do you know the nursery rhyme,

 "Oranges and lemons

Say the bells of St Clement's, . . ."?

This is the church mentioned there.  The bells even played the song when we were inside.  Below is a video that shows you what it sounded like (it is a public video, not one I made).
