ADDITIONAL ICE ACCUMULATIONS OF UP TO ONE QUARTER OF AN INCH ARE EXPECTED. * WHERE...THE WESTERN SOUTHERN TIER. * WHEN...UNTIL 8 AM EDT SUNDAY. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...ISOLATED POWER OUTAGES AND TREE DAMAGE ARE POSSIBLE DUE TO THE COMBINATION OF ICE AND MODERATE NORTHEAST WINDS. TRAVEL WILL BE VERY DIFFICULT AT TIMES, ESPECIALLY TONIGHT AND EARLY SUNDAY MORNING WHEN PAVEMENT TEMPERATURES ARE COLDEST. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... ReplyDeleteNo, we went to church and Peter later took a walk with Flora. Our car was covered with a layer of ice though, which was hard to get off. We just thought that the "recommended action" in the warning was too funny! Now we have a second warning: Flooding!

DeleteAlmost, I don't have the words anymore, but it was also not "nomral" English. I wonder who writes these warnings.
DeleteYou are having the worst weather! It was rather miserable here this morning also. We haven't had as much snow as you, but we have had cold and grey weather. Here's hoping for springtime to show itself soon!
ReplyDeleteYes, today was very cold and snowed again. I think I am getting a cold. We are all joking that spring and summer will pass us by this year.
