Andy Warhol

Our picture book for today was Fabulous! A Portrait of Andy Warhol.  I'm not really a big fan of Warhol's art, but the book was very interesting and showed how difficult Warhol's life was when he was a child.  The book also shows lots of Warhol's art.

Unser Bilderbuch des Tages war Fabulous! A Portrait of Andy Warhol.  Ich bin eigentlich keine Liebhaberin seiner Kunst, aber das Buch war interessant und hat gezeigt, wie schwierig Warhols Kindheit war.  Man kann auch viel von Warhols Kunst in dem Buch entdecken.

When Grandma and Grandpa were here we read many more books.  Even Julius, our cat, joined the fun.   Als die amerikanischen Großeltern hier waren, haben wir noch viel mehr Bücher gelesen.  Sogar Julius, unser Kater, war dabei.

  3. Hello Alexandra, he seems to really like both sets of grandparents, but is very choosy about other people, especially plumbers :).

  4. Dorina, I never had read very much about Warhol until this picture book. I didn't even know that his real name was Warhola and that he was a devout Catholic. I also didn't know that his parents were immigrants. Yes, we had a great time with the grandparents. Too bad we live so far apart.

  6. Yes, that would be nice, especially when you need some help. Peter's parents are about the same distance as my parents when you compare driving hours to Indiana and flight hours to Germany. I always think that's bizarre!
