Books on books.google.com/Bücher bei books.google.com

Well, I believe the Ice Saints have arrived early today:  It was snowing and cold!  I spent most of my free time today looking up books on books.google.com.  I'm working my way through an old graded reading list and marking all the books (primarily nature studies, geography, and history) we might want to print out for next school year.  Quite a few of the books listed work well with our approach to homeschooling.  We baked a cake, scones, and muffins for tomorrow.  Charlotte and Jonathan helped with the scones.  Charlotte was wearing her favorite apron, made by an Amish lady.

While ironing, I listened to a tape by Eugene Schwartz entitiled "The Inner Path of the Teacher."  I love his ideas and work.  Several years ago I attended a lecture by him.  He has a great sense of humor. 

Ich glaube, daß die Eisheiligen zu früh gekommen sind: es hat heute geschneit!  Ich habe heute viel Zeit damit verbracht, Bücher bei books.google.com nachzusehen.  Ich arbeite mich durch eine alte Leseempfehlungsliste und markiere die Bücher (vornehmlich Naturkunde, Erdkunde und Geschichte), die wir vielleicht ausdrucken und nächstes Schuljahr benutzen wollen.  Eine ganze Reihe der angegebenen Bücher passen gut zu unserem Homeschoolstil.  Wir haben heute einen Kuchen, Muffins und Scones (kleine britische Brötchen) gebacken.  Jonathan und Charlotte haben mit den Scones geholfen.  Charlotte hat dabei ihre Lieblingsschürze, die eine Amische genäht hat, getragen.  Jonathan hat die Wäsche mit Hilfe des kleinen Jonathans gefaltet.  Ich habe während des Bügelns eine Kassette von Eugene Schwartz angehört.  Ich mag seine Ideen und seine Bücher.  Vor einigen Jahren habe ich einen Vortrag von ihm besucht: er hat einen ganz eigenen Humor.
