Color, Maps, and Easter Bunnies/Farbe, Landkarten und Osterhasen

Jonathan did a physics experiment entitled "How Color Came into Being."  Charlotte and I read about Leif, a Viking settler in Iceland,  in Viking Tales.  (This is not Leif the Lucky.)  She also read about maps and built her own compass.  Earlier this school year we drew a map of our house, street, hamlet, and county.  Me on the Map and Maps: Getting from Here to There are the two books that help her to deepen her understanding of maps.  Miriam continued with more complicated freehand geometry.  Tonight we read probably our last Easter book: The Country Bunny and the Little Gold Shoes. 



 Jonathan hat heute ein Physikexperiment zur Entstehung von Farbe gemacht.  Charlotte hat über Leif, einen der ersten Siedler auf Island, gelesen.  Sie hat auch über Landkarten etwas dazuglernt und einen einfachen Kompass gebastelt.  Am Anfang des Schuljahres haben wir eine Landkarte unseres Hause, unserer Straße, unseres Dorfes und unseres Landkreises gemalt.  Me on the Map und  Maps: Getting from Here to There helfen ihr jetzt, ihr Wissen zu vertiefen.  Miriam hat mehrere Formen ineinander in Freihandgeometrie gemalt.  Heute abend haben wir wahrscheinlich unser letztes Osterbuch für dieses Jahr gelesen: The Country Bunny and the Little Gold Shoes.
