Miriam and I went to one of our sister parishes today. We brought up the gifts during the offertory.
Miriam und ich waren heute in einer anderen Gemeinde, die aber zu unserer Kirche gehört. Wir durften die Gaben nach vorne bringen.

Peter and Flora arrived in Kansas tonight. Flora has already started her program, and Peter found his room in the guesthouse of the monastery. He went to compline with the monks and had a chat with the abbot. In 2015, we had already met him and talked to him! Peter also took a walk along the Missouri river.
Peter und Flora sind heute abend in Kansas angekommen. Flora hat schon mit ihrem Programm angefangen. Peter hat sein Zimmer im Gästehaus des Klosters bezogen und beim Nachtgebet der Mönche mitgemacht. Außerdem hat er sich mit dem Abt unterhalten, den wir schon 2015 kennengelernt haben! Dann ist Peter am Missouri spazieren gegangen.

ReplyDeleteShe remembered a brownie dessert they used to sell at the Glen Iris Inn in Letchworth State Park. They do not sell it anymore, but she tried to imitate it.
