Peter and Flora got the same bug I have had. Leo is trying to comfort Flora She feels pretty bad, but Peter is doing okay.
Peter und Flora sind auch krank geworden und Leo versucht Flora zu trösten. Flora fühlt sich nicht gut, aber Peter geht es einigermaßen.
Da wir im Moment nur mit Krankenpflege beschäftigt sind (nur Miriam ist ganz gesund und arbeitet im College Buchladen), gibt es ein paar der Fotos, die mir Veronika geschickt hat.

She also visited a professor who has lots of kittens.
Sie hat auch die Kätzchen einer Professorin halten können.
Peter ordered a new lawnmower to replace the broken one. Charlotte did find her car. She found it faster than the police! The thieves had driven it somewhere close by where she had parked it. They broke the door handle and ignition. Now she has very costly repairs to make.
Peter hat einen neuen Rasenmäher bestellt, da der alte ja kaputt gegangen ist. Charlotte hat ihr Auto gefunden, sogar schneller als die Polizei. Die Autodiebe hatten es in ganz in der Nähe, wo sie es geparkt hatte, hingefahren. Sie haben die Tür aufgebrochen und die Zündung zerstört. Jetzt muß das Auto teuer repariert werden.

DeleteDanke, Eva. Es ist nicht einfach. Er war ja jünger als ich. Dass die Eltern vor einem sterben, ist ja normal, aber die jüngeren Geschwister, das ist schon hart.

DeleteHello Eva, the kittens are so adorable! And it's very nice that Veronika can take a train to the beach. Did Charlotte have a friend that could pick her up at the airport? I'm sorry she had so much trouble with the car. I hope the repairs go well and there aren't anymore misadventures! We once had a car stolen. We never got it back.
ReplyDeleteVeronika would have loved to take one home, but of course they cannot have cats in student apartments. That beach train even has a discount fare for students, quite convenient. She arrived so late that she could not call her friends anymore. So she got an Uber. The car has been repaired and she is driving it again. Oh, how distressing not get the car back. I read that stolen cars are quite common in Denver. Where was yours stolen?
