Flora was so happy that we sang "As I Have Done for You." We used to sing this in our old church with Father J. Above is a recording from a different church.

The clean up is continuing (on campus and in our basement and garage).
Das Aufräumen/Putzen (beim College und in unserem Keller/unserer Garage) geht weiter.
The main road is finally open again, but there is so much damage, debris, and still water! The clean-up is slow. Friends brought us a dehumidifier which is in our garage now, running day and night. One of our colleagues came by yesterday to check on us. We have a lot of clean-up to do, but first it needs to get dry.
Die Hauptstraße ist endlich wieder befahrbar, aber es gibt so viele Schäden, Schutt und immer noch Wasser! Die Aufräumarbeiten gehen nur langsam voran. Freunde haben uns einen Luftentfeuchter gebracht, der jetzt in der Garage läuft. Ein Kollege von uns ist gestern auch vorbeigekommen, um zu sehen, wie es uns geht. Wir haben noch viel Arbeit vor uns.

We were so relieved the roads were open so we could pick her up. The dehumidifier is helping, yes. Peter swept the laundry room today and then washed the floor. He had to do it twice. The garage is not clean yet. I do not think we will manage to clean that one up so fast. No, insurances here do not cover damages caused by natural disasters (flood, earthquake, wildfires).
