Veronika went to San Diego on Saturday, together with one of her roommates and her professor. This fig tree reminded her of the one we saw in Santa Paula in 2015.

Now let's go back to New York. There is snow, but there are also signs of spring.
Jetzt aber wieder zurück nach New York. Es gibt Schnee, aber auch die ersten Frühlingsanzeichen.
Here is our cake from Sunday.
Hier ist unser Sonntagskuchen.
Flora and I also started watching The Reluctant Saint: The Story of St. Joseph Cupertino on Sunday. We have a subscription to formed.org.
Flora und ich haben auch angefangen den Film Ein sonderbarer Heiliger am Sonntag zu sehen.

Spring is definitely making an effort to appear! I'm surprised to see the daffodil from Charlotte. And what were the flowers you shared from your home? Snow drops and a crocus bud? To be honest, I haven't seen anything here yet! I think I need to pay better attention on my walk tomorrow. Miriam's photos of pale blue sky, white fluffy clouds and cold white snow and snowman were so pretty and sweet. Did she make the snowman with some friends? We have had several snow people in the neighborhood this winter :)
ReplyDeleteSo true. The snow is almost gone. Snow drops and crocus are coming up here. Miriam did not know who built it. It fell over today. I have not seen many snowmen at all this year, even with so much snow!
DeleteFunny about the snowmen . . I saw several here, but my favorite was a four member snow family with carrot noses that someone made in our courtyard last year! Chanda sent me two photos of snowdrops she saw today at St. Luke in the Fields, so we are also on our way to spring :) xo
DeleteI used to make snow families as a child. The mothers always had head scarfs :). Oh, so good that your snowdrops are also waking up!
DeleteThat's very sweet Eva! I like thinking of you wrapping snowy heads with scarves! I might try that next winter!
DeleteI did take some pictures of them. I should dig them out :). I think they are here in the U.S. and not in Germany. I was very proud of my creations.
DeleteOh, that would be fun to see one day :)
DeleteI will check sometime this week to see where that photo might be.
DeleteAh, it's not always easy trying to find old items that have been tucked away!
DeleteSo true!
