Laundry/Wäsche

It was quite a warm day today: 59 degree!  Flora and I walked to the post office and enjoyed the mild temperatures.  After that walk, I roasted a whole chicken to eat for lunch and then I did laundry and more laundry and more laundry.  I washed all children's bedding and all clothes.  Tomorrow, Jonathan and Charlotte have to go back to college and so we had a laundry marathon.  And not just washing, but also ironing and mending.  Jonathan took his four sisters to Dansville in the afternoon.  Dansville is the village where Clara Barton founded the first chapter of the American Red Cross.  I also worked some more on my German 101 syllabus. and did some dusting and cleaning up.  The girls cleaned their bedrooms, Jonathan cleaned one bathroom, Charlotte washed the floor in the dining-room, and Charlotte and Miriam did all the baking for breakfast tomorrow morning.  Peter vacuumed his offices on campus and also my office.  Somehow one of my bookshelves collapsed and Peter was so kind to replace, with Jonathan's help, the bookcase with another one (from an empty office).  He also put all the books back💔 .  I think this was a very productive day and we all deserve a good night's rest now.   

Heute war es ziemlich warm, 15 Grad!  Flora und ich sind zur Post gegangen und haben uns über die milden Temperaturen gefreut.  Nach unserem kleinen Spaziergang, habe ich ein Huhn im Ofen gebacken.  Das gab es zum Mittagessen.  Danach habe ich Wäsche gewaschen und Wäsche gewaschen und Wäsche gewaschen.  Ich habe alle Bettwäsche der Kinder und alle andere Wäsche gewaschen.  Morgen müssen Jonathan und Charlotte wieder zum College zurück und daher mußte wirklich alles gewaschen werden.  Ich habe nicht nur gewaschen, sondern auch gebügelt und geflickt.  Jonathan ist mit seinen vier Schwestern nach Dansivlle gefahren.  In Dansville ist das erste Büro des amerikanischen Roten Kreuzes von Clara Barton eröffnet worden.  Ich habe auch weiter an meinem Lehrplan für Deutsch gearbeitet und Staub gewischt und aufgeräumt.  Die Mädchen haben ihre Zimmer geputzt und Jonathan hat ein Bad geputzt.  Charlotte hat den Fußboden im Eßzimmer gewischt und auch mit Miriam fürs Frühstück morgen gebacken.  Peter hat seine Büros und mein Büro beim College gesaugt.  In meinem Büro ist ein Bücherregal zusammengestürzt.  Also hat er mit Jonathans Hilfe ein neues organisiert und auch wieder eingeräumt 💔.  Wir waren also alle sehr rege und fleißig und können jetzt mit gutem Gewissen ins Bett gehen.
