Das Mäuslein und der Elefant

Flora read Jonathan a picture book from my childhood today, called Das Mäuslein und der Elefant  (The Little Mouse and the Elephant).  He did not remember the story when we talked on the phone in the fall and so Flora thought she should read it to him!

Flora hat heute Jonathan ein Buch aus meiner Kindheit vorgelesen: Das Mäusleiin und der Elefant.  Er konnte sich im Herbst, als wir telefoniert haben, nicht an dieses Buch erinnern, und so dachte Flora, sie sollte es ihm am besten vorlesen . 

In the evening, we lit the candles on our Christmas tree one more time because tomorrow, Jonathan will leave and not come back until the first week of March, his spring break (ours is in February).

Am Abend haben wir noch einmal die Kerzen am Weihnachtsbaum angezündet, da morgen Jonathan wieder zu St. Vincent College fährt.  Er kommt erst im März während seiner Frühlingsferien wieder.  Unsere Ferien sind schon im Februar.
