The Robe/Das Gewand

We are reading The Robe for Lent right now.  It also fits well with Roman history.  The writing style is a bit pompous, but the older children like the plot.

Wir lesen im Moment Das Gewand für die Fastenzeit.  Es erzählt von der Kreuzigung Jesu, und was mit seinem Gewand passiert, um das die Soldaten würfeln.  Die Sprache ist ein bißchen schwülstig, aber die Handlung spannend.   

P.S. This is not a book for small children.
P.S. Dieses Buch ist jedoch kein Kinderbuch.

    Oh, I think I must have seen some of this movie a long time ago, but I've never read the book. I wonder if Chanda would enjoy reading it with me? Will you watch the movie too?

      I don't think we will watch the movie. Maybe I should ask Charlotte how she likes it so far. Jonathan REALLY likes it.
