Playing and John Dunne/Spiel und John Dunne

On Saturdays, Miriam and Veronika like to play a game after their ballet classes in the morning.  There was no gymnastics this morning, so Jonathan also joined in the fun.  Of course, Flora likes to "help."  Today they picked Hurry, Farmer, Hurry, which doesn't seem to be available in the U.S.  Together, you have to feed the animals before the sun sets.

The Golden Key (A Sunburst Book)I finished all my ironing, baked scones and muffins, read a chapter of the Kalevala to Charlotte, did a lesson on ratios with Jonathan, and finally had a chance to read an article about one of my former ND theology professors, John Dunne, in the Notre Dame Magazine.  The article gave a glimpse into the life of this very interesting man, scholar, and storyteller!  He used books like The Golden Key in his seminars.  Charlotte baked cookies for all of us for tomorrow.

  4. they look like they're having a lot of fun!

you got a lot accomplished today with baking and lessons! it can be hard to balance all these activities. i like to iron, but it often gets pushed to the back burner.

your teacher looks wonderful! his books look interesting. i think i'll try and find them to read.

  5. I also like to iron, but quite often have too much of it! That's why I needed a catch-up week last week. Prof. Dunne is a unique man, but some of his books are difficult to read because he knows so much. I still remember him fondly, though.
