Mal wieder tolle Bilder und offensichtlich ein schöner Tag.
ReplyDeleteVon John Newberry kannte ich bislang auch nur die Medaille. Das Buch sieht total interessant aus.
Ich hatte gar nicht gewußt, daß er vor so vielen Jahren gelebt hat. Ich dachte immer, er stammt aus dem letzten Jahrhundert. Das Buch ist sehr interessant. Es erzählt im Prinzip, wie Kinderbuchliteratur entstanden ist.
DeleteMir war das auch nicht bewusst. Vielleicht muss ich mir das Buch mal holen. Ich glaube, in Deutschland war da ein gewisser Heinrich Hoffmann zuständig.
DeleteNewbery hat nur viel früher gelebt und gewirkt. Wilhelm Busch hat ja auch für Kinder geschrieben, doch war das auch später.

DeleteLovely photos! It's such a pretty campus. I've been finishing up some winter garment washing . . I have only one more shawl to soak and stretch out to dry. It feels good to have everything clean and stored away.
ReplyDeleteThey have done a marvelous job making it pretty. You can even look down onto the Missouri. If you gogle them, you can find many pretty pictures. Oh, I still have to wash a few jackets. We did take some winter coats to the dry cleaner's. But I did wash all hats and gloves. Yes, it does feel good to have them all clean and waiting for the fall and winter.
