In the morning, we visited the Millyard Museum in Manchester. It is a really interesting museum documenting the history of the textile mills in Manchester.

After our museum's visit, we drove to the "White Mansion" to listen to all seniors saying a few words about their theses.
Nach dem Museumsbesuch sind wir dann zu einer Villa gefahren, wo alle Studenten, die jetzt fertig sind, ihre Abschlußarbeiten vorgestellt haben.

Such a lovely day together! The mill building is very large and the winding staircase is beautiful. I'm glad you posted the link to Marvelous Mattie. I'd love to read it and will look it up. It must have been wonderful to hear Miriam speak about her thesis.
ReplyDeleteThe mill buildings are very fascinating, and so is the history of them. Miriam did a good job; some other mother later told me she was impressed. "Marvelous Mattie" is a good book.
